I have a great neighborhood to ride bikes in. This weekend I went swimming in a big pool for the first time! It was a lot of fun. See you guys next week!
Where to start? I suppose I should start in the beginning.
Moving days were coming up fast. It was raining in Indiana when Dad and Grandpa decided it was time to take down the play set.
Since there wasn't much else for me to do, I decided to help.
Dad let me use the drill. Notice the sun started shining just as soon as I pitched in.
And then Moyers Movers showed up. They came in a big blue tractor trailer full of boxes and tie-down straps.
As soon as they opened the doors to the moving truck, the movers started to pack....
.....and pack...
.....and pack...
They even packed me and my bunny up!
Somehow during all of that packing Mom and Grandma took me to school one last time.
My teachers gave me a certificate and I said goodbye to all of my friends.
It was sad to say goodbye, but I know that I will make new friends while I keep my Indiana friends in a special place in my heart.
Not only did we go to school one last time, but we also went to gymnastics! I always have a lot of energy there. It is really hard for me to stand still.
Can I go? Ohh. Ohhh. Pick me? Can I go?
Not yet? Mom. Mom! How 'bout now? Is it my turn?
After a few very hectic days, Dad left for Pennsylvania to buy our new house. Mom, Grandma, and I stayed in Indiana. We were all pretty tired.
Before we knew it the movers had packed everything into the tractor trailer (and a U-haul they hadn't planned on) and we were alone in an empty house. The next day, Grandma took this picture of Mom and me.
Even though the sun was out and we were smiling it was not easy to say goodbye to our home. This was the first home that Mom and Dad bought together. Dad carried Mom over the threshold the day they moved in. It was the first home that I ever knew. As a family we struggled mightily with some of my medical challenges there. But we also shared some of the best times visiting with our neighbors, making trips to the pumpkin patch and apple orchard in the fall, finding all of the parks with the best slides, and making wonderful, lasting family memories together. Houses are built with sturdy foundations and precisely laid beams to hold up their structure. Our family and friends gave us the foundation when not everything fit neatly into place, and that made our house much more than cement and lumber to us. It was our home, and we will all miss the wonderful times we spent there.
Mom, Grandma, and I left in the afternoon. Late that evening we arrived at our new home in Pennsylvania.
Dad and Grandpa had been there through the weekend, working to get our new home ready.
The very next day the movers showed up. We spent the next week or so digging ourselves out of a mountain of boxes.
But, we are finally settled in (for the most part) and enjoying the summer together. I have already made new friends in my neighborhood. I love riding my bike with Mom and Dad.
This weekend Dad built a campfire in the back yard. We all had roasted marsh mellows!
They even have ladybugs in Pennsylvania!

Most important is that our family is all together and are well on our way in making our new house our new home.

Wondering where I've been? Well, I am now officially a Pennsylvania resident. As part of that process everyone has been very busy.
