Wacky Wednesday

Hi there!  Hope everyone had a good week.  this Wednesday was wacky Wednesday at school.  We were allowed to wear costumes.

I dressed up like Clifford the Big Red Dog.  I really love dogs.  Speaking of dogs, guess who was rehearsing their wedding?

On Saturday, Mom, Dad, and I went to the book fair sponsored by my elementary school at Barnes & Noble.  Some of my teachers read books to us.  It was great.  I sat in the front row.  After the book fair, we went out to eat for lunch.  I had a cheese quesadilla.  

Today, saw the Disney movie called the Secret World of Arrietty.  It was great.  I wonder if we have borrowers in our house.  Also, I went to the ice rink to try on some ice skates before my first lesson on Monday.  This week will be a busy week with ice skating lessons, basketball practice, and piano lessons.

I figured I should rest up for next week so I caught some rays with Daisy.  Hope everyone had a great week too!  See you guys next Sunday!

A Trip to the Science Center!

I went to the Carnegie Science Museum this weekend!  It was a lot of fun.  There were four floors of exhibits to look at and experience.

They had a whole room filled with model trains.  The trains were laid out to show the history of Pittsburgh as the city grew.

The Science Center also had an exhibit all about robots.  In fact they had a giant industrial robot shooting baskets with a basketball!  They even had C3-PO and R2D2 from Star Wars.

Right next to the Science Center was the Sports Complex.  Here I am hanging on to a giant yo-yo string.

I even tried climbing on the rock wall.

Later that evening, Mom, Dad, and I went to see an IMAX movie called Born to Be Wild.  It was all about the work of one lady who rescues orphaned elephant calves and another lady who rescues orphaned baby orangutans.  I had never seen an IMAX movie before.  It was a lot to take in, but I liked it.

After the movie, we went to a nice restaurant called the Porch near the Carnegie Museum of Natural History.  I was pretty tired, but I made it through dinner.

A New Friend!

Hi there!  Meet my new friend Bella!

I have been begging and begging Mom & Dad for a new (live) puppy.  Although they say only one (live) dog at a time, Mom told me I could earn Bella if I achieved a certain book-reading goal, and I did it!

Bella is a Golden Retriever puppy and I love her!  I love all animals, but dogs and birds are my very favorites.  Even Daisy was happy to meet Bella.

In other news, we had an assembly and a dentist spoke at our school.  The dentist told us how to take care of our teeth and asked us which mineral found in milk is great for our teeth.  I raised my hand in front of everyone (even though I tend to be quite shy in front of large groups) and answered "Calcium!".  My mama taught me that.  Guess what.....I got another prize from the dentist for giving the right answer!  It was a good week!

Super Bowl Sunday

Hey there!  Well it's Super Bowl Sunday and unfortunately .....

...my Steelers aren't playing.  Go Giants!

I rested up for the big game with Daisy.

I love her so much.

She is a really good friend to everyone in our family.
