From Halloween to Christmas in a Week!

Hey there everybody! As promised, here are some belated Halloween pictures.

I was sick on Halloween and couldn't go trick or treating. No problem though. Mom asked her friends in the neighborhood if I could stop by later.

I went trick or treating this years as a mermaid. Just like Ariel from the Little Mermaid!

My costume even had a tail. I had lots of fun. I'm glad I was able to go trick or treating after I felt better.

This weekend we decorated our Christmas tree. I put the angel on top!

Mom and Dad let me put on most of the ornaments. Almost all of them were right about eye level for me and within arms reach. The tree is decorated a little unevenly, but Mom decided that I had worked too hard to change it.

In other news, my spelling is really improving. Mom and Dad were discussing whether or not to go to the children's museum. They wanted to surprise me so Dad spelled the word museum. I immediately asked if we were going to go to the children's museum. Dad even asked me what M...U....S...E...U...M spelled and I told him those letters spelled "museum". If that didn't impress Mom and Dad my next spelling skill demonstration did.

In the parking lot of PetSmart I pointed to the stop bar painted on the ground and told Mom and Dad the word next to it spelled "stop". The impressive part was that I was walking toward the stop bar so the word "stop" appeared upside down.

Daisy was not quite as impressed. I think she's looking at Mom begging to get Dad to turn off the Discovery Channel's show Dirty Jobs. Oh well. I'll see you guys next week with Thanksgiving pictures!

Sharks Like Birthdays Too!

This week my friend Elliott had a birthday! Can you guess what kind of birthday party he had?

Elliott really likes sharks. He invited all of his friends from our neighborhood to his shark birthday party!

Elliott opened his birthday presents with his mom and dad. Then we went outside and took turns hitting the shark pinata.

I decided I would just watch because I didn't want to hurt the shark. Mom and Dad told me I should be nice to animals. I figured even animals made of cardboard and tissue paper deserve a break too.

Next week there may be some Halloween costume pictures. Mom asked her friends in the neighborhood if I could do some belated trick or treating since I wasn't feeling good over Halloween. See you next week!

If You Give a Kid a Blog

Hey! Hey! I'm talking to you. I know you're on the other side of this computer monitor.

We had great weather this weekend. Dad and I went to the park!

In other news, school pictures were this week. Here I am all ready to go.

It was also my turn for show and tell. I brought my best friend....Oinky the pig.

Oinky is from the story If You Give a Pig a Pancake. I really like that one.

In other news, I made pizza with Mom and Dad. And that's not all I did!

I ATE pizza with Mom and Dad!

Can you believe it? Mom and Dad were really surprised, but I munched away and this is what was left.

That about covers it for this week. See you guys next week!

Big Kid Bed

This was a big week for me. Where to begin. Where to begin.

We had a costume party at school for Halloween! I went as Ariel the mermaid.

I even had tail on my costume!

Everyone in class dressed up. Spiderman, Thomas the Train, one of the Incredibles, a bunny, and a bee all came to the party!

We tried to sit still for this picture but you can only get so far with excited 4 year olds.

With such an important holiday as Halloween approaching, the council of moms convened for a strategy session.

Unfortunately, my strategy was to sleep. I came down with the flu. No trick or treating for me. But I am feeling better now. In fact, I felt good enough to help out with my big girl bed!

Dad, Grandpa, and I put it together. That's Dad's new drill that Mom got him. He was as excited to use it as I was to have a new bed.

And......here it is!

My new bed! The first thing I did was to put Daisy's bed on top of mine so she could sleep with me.

In other news, tonight I was munching on pretzels. I decided on my own that I wanted a couple while I watched football with Dad. Well, that's it for now. See you guys next week with some more new adventures!
