Hi there everybody! Just thought I would catch up on blogging. We invited Dad's side of the family to our house in Virginia for Thanksgiving.
It was a lot of fun!
We had a terrific Thanksgiving dinner together.
The next day, my cousins and I went to the Smithsonian.
I saw the Hope Diamond.
We rode the DC Metro together.
You can't go to DC without seeing the Lincoln Memorial.
Dad had to drive a couple laps around town so we could find the right spot to jump out and walk to the memorial. It was worth it though.
This week, Santa came through the neighborhood on a fire truck! The sirens and emergency lights were going. Santa was throwing candy to all of the kids in the neighborhood.
Since it's Christmas, we started decorating the house for the holidays. We figured we would start with Elizabeth. You can tell by the look on her face this was not her favorite part of decorating.
Every year I put the angel on top of the tree. Dad says that i am growing fast and almost can reach the top of the tree on my own. I think I have a little way to go still.

In other news, I am learning multiplication in school and I participated in my first spelling bee. The days seem to be flying by for 2014. Before we all know it the new year will be here.

Check out my Halloween costume. I'm a SCUBA diver who rescues dolphins.
Mom spent a lot of time putting it all together. She used 2 liter bottles for my SCUBA tanks.
I won a prize for the most original costume at our neighborhood's Halloween party. But the best part of the night was trick or treating with my friends.
Although these pictures are a little older I wanted to share them. There are from a local festival.
This horse's name is Snickers.
I really liked holding these fluffy chickens.
On a different weekend we went to a local farm. They had a Fall Festival too.
Mom says I have my dad's feet.
We had a really good time together.
In other news, we recently celebrated Elizabeth's one year anniversary as our dog. She was a lot happier to have a new toy than she looks in this picture.
School is going well. I have made new friends and I really like my teacher. I participate in a Yoga class after school. It is really fun!
Hi there everybody! I love the Fall! The air is cool and crisp. The leaves are turning from green to red, orange, and yellow. What's not to love?
We celebrated Dad's 41st birthday. He got the big candles for 41.

We've also gone to a couple of pumpkin patches!
Pony rides, petting zoos, and apple cider made for fun family time over the past two weekends.
We are getting ready for Halloween. I will keep my costume a secret for a little while longer. But I did want to share a picture of Elizabeth's costume.
If you recall her previous owner gave her the name of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth. So we figured this would be a good Halloween costume.
Hey there everybody! Hope you had a great weekend. Mom, Dad, and I decided to spend Saturday exploring where we live. Since it is the start of Fall we decided to see if we could find a Fall festival.
In Leesburg we found a petting zoo that had a Fall festival theme.
The petting zoo had several different types of animals. This pig seemed pretty friendly until he realized I didn't have any food to feed him.
They also had these towers made of round hay bales. I insisted that Dad let me climb to the top on my own. After a couple of tries I made it.
After the petting zoo we went to another farm. This one had even more neat things to do and to see.
They had some turkeys who would gobble at you.
Mom snapped this picture with her cell phone. They were pretty fun to look at. Towards the end, they started to chase Mom and me a little so it was time to go.

It has been a very busy summer. I fell behind in my blog posts but I promise to do better. Just a quick post to mention a few milestones.
I am 9 years old! I had a great birthday party.
I will post more pictures soon.
And of course, I moved to Virginia. Here is our new house.
I am making new friends in my neighborhood and school. I am excited to see what new adventures this year will bring. Hope everyone is doing well. Stay tuned for more posts.
Hey there. Sorry it's been awhile since I made a post to the blog. It has been an eventful summer. Mom, Dad, and I went to the Pirates game. The Pirates played the Phillies.
I even brought a homemade flag to cheer for the Pirates!
The Pirates won!
I also went to Community Days with my friend Mary.
We had a lot of fun riding rides. It was sad to see Community Days end.
This summer I've spent time at the pool, taken Elizabeth to the dog park, and went to Fun Fore All. More good things to come. Hope you have a great week!
Sorry it's been awhile since I've written on my blog. We have lots of new adventures to share. Uncle Ned and my cousin Megan came to visit! We had a terrific time together!
Mom, Dad, and I went to the annual school carnival. I broke a board with a karate kick.
I also dunked my principal.
Over Memorial Day weekend Mom, Dad, Elizabeth, and me went to Washington, D.C. Here is Elizabeth on Pennsylvania Avenue!
We got a family picture too.
Dad said he walks this by here quite often when he is in Washington, D.C.
After we saw the White House we walked to the Washington Monument. Along the way we saw the U.S. Capitol Building in the distance.
I am so happy all of the repairs are done. A couple of years ago an earthquake damaged the monument
After seeing the Washington Monument we walked down the National Mall to see the World War II Memorial and then the Lincoln Memorial.
Dad took Elizabeth and sat in the shade.

Our trip to Washington, D.C. was really fun. When I came home I finished out the school year. At the end of the year we had a field day. Both Mom and Dad came to help out.
We had a lot of fun playing games, tug of war and best of all a chance to cool off with a fire truck at the end.
We also had a class picnic that Mom came to have fun with me too.
Mom brought everyone a pair of cool party glasses.
Last Friday was the final day of school for the year.
It is hard to believe that I am a third grader!
I'm growing up fast.
While all of this was going on I am still playing softball and having a lot of fun.
Plus I had a gymnastics show.
Here I am jumping off of a spring board into a vault.
I really like my gymnastics instructor Miss Holly.
She made learning the routines really fun.
Now that summer is here I am enjoying playing in my backyard. I made a fairy house called the Pixie Inn.
Dad found a big turtle when he was mowing the grass.
And of course I couldn't forget Mom's birthday! She is 40 years old!
Dad and I made her a chocolate cake and we went out to dinner to a Japanese restaurant.
Dad says Mom is as beautiful as ever and I think so too.
To close out this blog entry I have one more picture of the Washington Monument to share.
The reason I chose this picture is because Dad has been transferred to Washington, D.C. We will soon be moving there so I can start the school year at my new school. We will keep everyone posted when we have some more of the details worked out. We are sad to be leaving our home and our friends in Pennsylvania. But we know that whatever life brings, we are a family and we will get through it together.
