Thawing Out

Hi there!  Not much going on this weekend.  It was nice to just enjoy the sunshine.

I like to think that I am a trendsetter when it comes to style.

Sweatpants tucked into one's socks, a tutu, and Princess Belle shoes are quite avant garde, that's French for "just my style".

Stay awesome everybody.  See you guys next week!

Flowers on President's Day? For me?

Hi there everybody!  Happy President's Day!  Mom, Daisy, and I are all dressed up with ribbons in our hair.  Since it was a three day weekend, we decided to have some adventures.

We went to the Phipps Conservatory in Pittsburgh!  It is full of beautiful flowers.

The flowers smell nice too!

I event wore some flowers in my hair for the occasion.

The conservatory had a treasure hunt for kids.  I had to pay close attention to the plants and exhibits I saw.

It was a lot of fun.  They had several different rooms of plants.  There was a room full of ferns, a room full of cacti, and even a room with plants from the Amazon!

It was such a cold, gray day in Pittsburgh, and it was nice to escape to what seemed like a tropical paradise.  We had a really good time discovering all there was to see and smell there.  Before I knew it the day was almost over and time for an early dinner.

I was so excited when I found a fiddle-head fig leaf laying loose on the ground just before we left.  The staff said I could keep it!  We took one last picture ......

and then we went to dinner at my favorite restaurant, Houlihan's.  While we were eating dinner, it started to snow...a lot.  We have a few inches of snow and counting.  That's it for now.  See you guys next week!

Wedding Bells and Dinosaurs

Hi there everybody!  Guess what I did this weekend?  I went to Mindy and Bryan's wedding!  it was a lot of fun.

Mom and Dad took lots of pictures.  Here I am having fun with Maezhen and my friend Muffy, a plastic Chihuahua.

Here are the bride and groom.  It was a beautiful ceremony.

The reception was a lot of fun too.  This was just before they cut their wedding cake. Congratulations, Mindy and Bryan!

The next day, life was a little less glamorous, but still a lot of fun.  We headed to the Carnegie Museum of Natural History to look at some dinosaurs!

I decided that I would enjoy the museum's atrium and read a little before we went in.

Once we went inside there were soooo many neat things to see and do.  They had an entire exhibit devoted to interesting mineral formations such as geodes.  They also had lots and lots of fossils!

This is my favorite dinosaur, a stegosaurus.

You could even try and dig up your own dinosaur there.  The museum had some other interesting exhibits too.

They had an exhibit about North American wildlife.  Here I am sitting in front of a bear, trying to act calm.

It's not quite working.  You'll notice that I'm reading my book upside down.  Shhh.  There's a bear.

After that, off to the savannah!

Muffy sure is a world traveler.  It was a great weekend.  Going to a wedding and then hanging out with Mom and Dad with the animals from every continent in the world was pretty fun.  See you guys next week.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
