Graduation Day!

Hi there!  Well, Graduation Day has finally arrived.  I graduated from preschool last week!

I picked out a new yellow dress for the occasion.  I sat on the rug in my classroom one last time.

Then it was time to take my place with all of the other graduates.  I walked down the aisle, I mean RAN down the aisle to Pomp and Circumstance.  Then we sang two songs.

Finally, we received our diplomas and high-fives from our teachers!  It was really exciting to move my tassel from the right side to the left side of my cap.  I even decorated my cap with my handprints!

Mom and Dad were really proud of me.

Afterward, Mom, Dad, Grandma, and Grandpa, and I headed to Dairy Queen for a celebratory ice cream cone.

It's hard to imagine how much Mom and Dad say I've grown up, and how quickly.  Looking through the almost six years of pictures on my blog, it seems like just yesterday that I was splashing around in my little pool on the back deck in Indiana and riding the ponies at the pumpkin patch.

I've got lots more adventures to share.  There is a summer full of fun waiting for us all to enjoy.  Next Fall, kindergarten here I come!

See you guys next week.

School's Almost Out for the Summer!

Hi there everybody!  This past week was my last week of preschool.  I am going to be a preschool graduate on Wednesday!!!

Here I am with my wonderful teacher, Miss Kim.  I really love going to my school, and I will miss it very, very much.  I felt sad when Mom told me it was my last day.  But I am looking forward to a fun summer and kindergarten straight ahead in the fall!  I was able to visit my elementary school this week and meet the principal and some of the kindergarten teachers.  I told Mom, "I think I am going to like it here!"

Stay tuned for pictures from my big graduation day!

Birthdays, Weddings, and Giraffes

Hi there everybody!  I haven't been as conscientious about blogging lately.  Mom and Dad...get to work!  A lot has happened in the last couple of weeks.  My friend Carmen invited me to her birthday party!  Here we are bouncing around together.

It was a really fun party. I love bounce house places.  I wish I had a slide like this at my house!

Another great day I had lately was on my Share Day at school.  I brought Grandma.  I told my friends all about her and the fun things we do together.  I told everyone that she makes the best cookies in the whole wide world.  She even brought cookies to share with my whole class, and everyone agreed that they were really yummy.

She read a story to us too.  Grandma was a 2nd grade teacher.  I wonder if this picture reminds her of her class.  Thanks, Grandma, for coming to my school and making this Share Day my favorite of all time.

Right after my Share Day, Mom and Dad went to Philadelphia to attend Dad's cousin Katie's wedding.

She was a beautiful bride.  Here she is walking down the aisle with her brother Paul.  It was a wonderful day.

Grandma and Grandpa had a good time dancing at the reception.

As for me, I was busy practicing the role of a lifetime.  I was a giraffe in the spring pageant at my school.

The giraffes had a speaking part.  We said, "We don't really want to dance."  I practiced saying it at home until I got it just right.

Even though I said I didn't like to dance, I really do.  But I spent some time exploring my character and commiting the role before the show, so I pulled off an entirely believable performance.

After the pageant, Mom and Dad gave me a beautiful bouquet of flowers.  I love my fans.

Everyone had a good time.

Best of all there were cookies!  I have quite a sweet tooth these days.

In other news, Dad ate a banana (NOT his favorite food).  I don't think he liked it by the faces he made, even though he said he did.  We also went shoe shopping at the mall.  I had a blast!  I hadn't been to the mall here in Pennsylvania before.  I tried to listen to Mom and Dad and not run ahead of them, but it was pretty hard.  I think Mom and Dad were both pretty tired at the end.  Shop till you drop!

That's it for now.  See you guys next week!
