Memorial Day Weekend

Hi there everybody!  Hope you had a great Memorial Day!  I thought I would take the opportunity of the three day weekend to catch you up on some of my adventures.

Last weekend I helped celebrate my Great Grandma's 90th birthday!

It was such a special day, and so much fun!

I was really happy I could be there to celebrate with her.

That week I also went to my school's carnival.  I had a blast hanging out with my friends, including my BFF, Mary.

Softball practice paid off and I hit the bulls eye at the dunk tank!

My school's assistant principal was a really good sport.

This weekend our good friends from Indiana stopped by to visit.  It was so nice to see Melissa, Brad, Taylor, Tyson, and Talon.

I really missed them and I was very excited to see them!

I hope to see them again soon.

Hope you had a great Memorial Day!  See you next week!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day everybody!  Hope you've had a great day.  I celebrated today with Mom and by calling both my Grandma's and wishing them a happy Mother's Day too!

Dad and I baked Mom a cake.  I did most of the decorating.  It was delicious!

We also gave Mom some very pretty flowers.

Spending Sunday together was a great way to start the new week!
Last week Mom and I went on a field trip to the zoo with my class.

We had a great time together looking at the different animals and learning more about them.  Here we are watching the elephants together.

I had two more softball games this past week.  I am starting to get the hang of hitting and I was able to catch the ground balls hit my way.  I like going to practices and games.  Mom cheers for me and Dad helps coach the team.

Hope everyone has a great start to the week.  More adventures to come!

Lots and Lots of Adventures to Share

Hey there everybody!  Sorry I haven't blogged in a little while.  I have lots and lots of new adventures to share!  I attended my cousin Liam's First Communion.

Here's Liam with his mom and dad.

Aunt Maresa and Uncle Casey were excited for him.

Here are Liam, Grayson, and me smiling as we looked at the stained glass windows in church.  It was really special to see Liam make his First Communion.

Another adventure that I had was playing my first softball game.  We are the Terrapins, and we played the Aggies and the Wildcats last week.  Our team is all girls (yeah!!!) grades 1-3.

Here I am getting ready to head out to the outfield.  We all wear these cool fielder masks to protect our pretty faces.  We make "throwing like a girl" look good!  I have a pink softball bag for all of my pink gear.  I even have a hot pink bat!

In addition to playing defense in the outfield, I was able to get up to bat.  Check out how I did.

Mom, Dad and I practice in the yard together.  I like playing on the same team as my friends.

Speaking of practice, I've been practicing the piano too.

This song was pretty tough for me to learn.  But I did it!

In other news, guess what I found in my yard?

I have a garden gnome!  I have no idea how he got there.  I've heard gnomes are magical.  He just appeared one afternoon under our lilac bush.  I love playing with him.  I put out some treats in hopes another garden gnome will decide to stay in our yard, so "Gnomie" can have a friend!

Whew what a busy week!  Mom and Dad both came to my school to volunteer for Junior Achievement Day on Friday.  They taught my class for a few hours about things like why it is important to do well in school, learn a skill, do a job, earn money to obtain wants and needs, and be a part of the community.  Then Mom, Dad, and I worked out in the yard this weekend.  Dad accidentally killed some of our grass in his attempt to get rid of the poison ivy in the backyard, but he did find a really cool snake.  He picked it right up by its tail!  Mom was not as impressed which is probably why we don't have any pictures.  That's it for now.  I get to take a field trip with my class to the zoo this week (and mom gets to chaperon), so stay tuned for my wild adventures!

Happy Happy Happy Birthday Kathleen and Kathy!  Hope you both have great days.  See everyone next week!
