Crayon Tree

Hi there everybody! Check out the ice cream sundae that I made. I used marshmallows for its eyes and mouth. By the time Mom and Dad snapped this picture it was a little melted.

Lately Dad and I have been working on lots of art projects. Speaking of art, I really like to stick my crayons in one of Mom's decorative plant trees. I call it my crayon tree. It is quite an abundant tree. I enjoy "picking" the crayons and using them on my art projects.

Stuck Inside and Feeling a Little Nutty

This is a coconut. It was a dreary winter day so while Dad was at the grocery store he decided to pick up a few things that reminded us of sunshine. He gave Mom some flowers and I got a coconut.

Obviously, I got the better end of that deal. Dad told me that Grandma smacked open a coconut on the driveway when he was a kid. So that's exactly what we were going to do.

Apparently, these days coconut shells are cut halfway through before they even get to the grocery store. After one or two whacks with the hammer, Mom and Dad had it open.

I took a little taste of what was inside. This week I ate kiwi fruit! There was some pretty serious negotiation between Mom, Dad, and me - but in the end I actually liked it.

My gymnastics instructor told Mom that I do really cute cartwheels. So stay on your toes everyone - like this - because there will be more adventures next week!

First Blog of 2010!

Happy New Year! It's hard to imagine being more excited than Daisy for the start of 2010.

Wooof. I wonder what the new year will bring. How about a little peek?

How about a trip to COSI!

It was fun to play in the clouds. Not only were there neat clouds, but.....

The doctor was in! We all had a good time.

After COSI, we went to the Spaghetti Warehouse for dinner.

Spaghetti is fun to eat. (This picture is for you, Ms. Cindy!) I like mine plain. After that we headed home to Pennsylvania.

Dad made cinnamon rolls for us! There was a lot of snow to play in. I had a good time with my friends Elliott and Carmen.

I made a snow hat for Dad.

This weekend Mom, Dad, and I went to the Pittsburgh Childrens Museum!

There were lots of neat things to look at and play with there! This exhibit had letters falling down a screen.

You could catch the letters with the shadow of your hand and spell different words.

Mom and I sat by a pair of Mr. Rogers' shoes. I really liked climbing on this net. It led to a platform where I could drop little parachutes.

The Big Christmas Blog!

I'm so excited to see you I don't know where to start!

This blog is all about how I spent Christmas. I started the Christmas season being in my school's pageant.

I was an angel with my friends Dakota and Tricia.

Mom and Dad were both there to watch me.

After the pageant, Mom, Dad, and I stayed to talk with my friends and teachers.

This is my friend Cash. We had some cookies and a few laughs after the show.

Before I knew it Christmas was almost here. I left cookies for Santa and carrots and an apple for his reindeer.

And the next morning they were all gone!

Santa had come to my house!

It was a great Christmas! Mom and Dad gave me a Betta fish. I named him Gingerbread.

Christmas went fast and before I knew it we were headed to Ohio to visit our family.

I was ready to take a lot of pictures! Our first stop in Ohio was Mom's parents house. My cousin Megan, Aunt Robin, and Uncle Ned were all there to celebrate with us.

We had lots of fun opening presents together.

I got a sandwich for Christmas!

I really like playing "restaurant" with it. I wonder if the reason I like my sandwich so much is from Mom's influence being a Registered Dietitian or Dad's incluence being a sandwich lover.

Later in the night Megan and I put on our aprons and made a gingerbread house and a gingerbread tree.

After spending time with Mom's side of the family, we headed over for Dad's family's Christmas celebration.

I was really happy to see Liam, Grayson, Aunt Maresa, Uncle Casey, Grandma, Grandpa, and Uncle Mike.

I had a great time playing with my cousins and seeing Grandma and Grandpa.

And before I knew it the day was over.

Later in the week, I went to a holiday party for Mom's side of the family. Megan and Maezhen were there!

We had lots of fun together. I met the newest addition to the family, Luke!

He had a big smile and was a really good runner for a little guy! It was really nice to spend time with all of our family over Christmas.

Everyone had a good time.

It was a busy holiday season this year. The best gift of all was spending time with family and friends.

But after all that I am pooped. See you guys next week....after a couple good nights of sleep!
