Hi there everybody! The cold weather finally went away. Almost all of the snow has melted too! The temperature was below zero for a couple of days. It was so cold that school was canceled.
Now that all of the snow and ice is gone we were able to get out a little more. So this weekend we went to the National Aviary!
I really enjoy all of the different species of birds there. It was a lot of fun feeding the Lorikeets. We tried to make the Kookaburra bird laugh too. I even saw the penguin, Preston, who was at my birthday party!
One of the exhibits that really caught my attention was the Burrowing Owl exhibit. I thought he was really neat. I cannot wait until I am able to go back to the aviary to visit again.
