Clearing the Backyard

Just popped in to say hello! I hope you had a nice Labor Day weekend.

Mom, Dad, and I went to the zoo together. It was pretty crowded, but I still saw a lot of really neat animals.

I even gave my deer friend Melvin a pat. It was nice to see him again.

Dad spent a lot of the weekend outside working on the backyard. Just beyond my swingset is a part of the yard that is covered by nice trees. But, it was totally overgrown. To give you an idea how bad it was, before Dad started it looked like this....

(Just kidding--both pictures--but close to accurate!) As you can see he has some more work to do. It is raining here, so off to Target we go. Because everyone knows Target is for rainy days.

School starts this coming week. I visited my new classroom and met my teachers last week. I am excited to go and meet new friends.
