Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

Splish, splash I was taking a bath! Not even my restraints can change how much I love to take a bath. I have a boat, lobster, and a bunch of rubber ducks to play with while I'm in the tub. I even have some ducks to stick on the sides of the tub like the one you see behind me.

Mom couldn't resist giving my hair a stylish coiff. I am starting to grow more hair on the front and the sides too. No baby mullet for me!

Dad was behind the camera in this picture. He has been home for three weeks "helping out". We watch Wild Wild West Elmo together. Dad tried to grow a handle bar mustache just like Pecos Bill Elmo but Mom told him "absolutely not!" He was disappointed but shaved it off.

I don't watch a whole lot of tv other than Sesame Street. That Cookie Monster and Grover totally crack me up. Like this week when the letter of the day was "U" and Cookie launched it on a rocket and then it came back down on a parachute. Genius, I tell you, genius! Naturally, Cookie Monster ate the letter of the day like he always does. Oops I didn't mean to spoil that episode for you. Forget I said anything.

The weather was soooo nice that Mom, Dad, Daisy, and I went to the park and out for some wagon rides. I have a pink fleece coat with a reindeer on it. Mom put my hood up even though it wasn't that cold. I can tell already that there will be no reprieve from wearing my boots at recess or drinking chocolate milk at lunch either.

Mom gave me a leaf to hold. I was so excited that I crumpled into a million little pieces in the bottom of the wagon. That's okay though, Mom gave me another leaf. It has been pretty windy here lately and there are a lot of leaves on the ground for me to pick up. Mom thinks that the high winds coincided with Dad being home and talking so much, but that's just her meteorological hypothesis. Funny, Dad said the same thing about Mom. Huh? Even though wagon rides are fun that wasn't the most exciting part of this past week.

This week was Thanksgiving. Dad made Thanksgiving dinner. Mom and Dad had turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and pumpkin pie! I had Gerber sweet potatoes that I smeared across my face but didn't really eat. Then we all took a nap. Actually, I took a nap, Mom held me, and Dad worked on his computer.

We tried to stage our own Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade in the kitchen, but high winds forced Mom and Dad to just tie my Elmo balloons to my high chair float. Mom and Dad thought it would be funny since my name is Macy, they had some balloons, and it was Thanksgiving Day. All the components of a good joke, but it ended up to be one of those "well, you just had to be there" kind of things.

Like my turkey bib? Gobble, gobble. Unfortunately, there was some sad news this weekend. Notre Dame lost. I'm with Dad, I cannot stand USC. Sorry Coach Carroll. Besides, this really complicates things for the BCS. Will "the" Ohio State University now play the nameless university from Southern California for the National Championship instead of Michigan -since Michigan has already lost to OSU? I could go on and on about why college football should do away with the BCS and go to a playoff format. Anyway......

Mom, Dad, and I went over to some of Mom and Dad's friends' house for dinner. I had lots of fun at Jason and Barb's house. I really liked playing with their dog Duffy. He is so nice. Here is a picture of Mom and me getting ready.

Mom are you done with the hair dryer? See you guys next week!
